Opposite the National Yoyogi Sports Center and adjacent to Meiji Jingu lies the expansive Yoyogi Park. It is a pleasant enough place to visit, but nothing spectacular. On weekends the park comes alive with Tokyoites looking for a place to relax, play musical instruments and play whatever sport they might be into.
Skateboarding, African drums, skipping, frisbee, samba are just some of the things you will see people playing. On Sundays around the entrance to the park you will find the legendary Japanese rock-a-billy group dancing to Elvis.
