The Tokyo Irish Music Fesitval 2007 will be held next month on March 17th and 18th as part of the St. Patricks Weekend celebrations.

The fesitval promises to be an very exciting event featuring the best of Irish/Japanese musicians and dancers from all over the world coming together for a celebration of Irish music and dance.

St Patricks Day in Tokyo

This coming Sunday (March 19th) the Irish Community will be celebrating St. Patrick’s Day with a parade down Omote-sando in Harajuku.

The parade starts fairly early, so be sure not to sleep in if don’t want to miss it!

The parade is on this Sunday, October 30th starting from noon at Hibiya Park, Ginza.

It is a great chance to see mikoshi traditional dance and music.

Sri Lanka Festival

I headed over to Yoyogi Park today for the Sri Lanka festival. It is not as big as the Thai festival that was held earlier in the year but there was still some good curries and samosa to eat.

Last night I went to a friends party at Obi Lounge in Shibuya. I added a picture of the bar to the nightclub section. It is a great space if you want to have a party, with great food at a reasonable price. The entrance is just a little hard to find amongst all of the love hotels in Dogenzaka, Shibuya.
