Cruising Tokyo Bay

If you are looking for something different for a place to have dinner, you might like to try a dinner cruise around Tokyo Bay. I went on the Royal Wing a few years ago and had a Chinese meal. The food was fairly average, but the views and “novelty” factor were definitely worth it.

Sony Opens First PSP Spot in Tokyo

This was supposed to have opened last week according to this article.

I haven’t bought a PSP yet but it is definitely on my wishlist. It is also interesting they decided to open it in Ginza rather than Akihabara.

It is located in the Sony Plaza building.

Mini to release new Concept at Tokyo Motor Show

Mini will be releaseing a new Mini Traveler ato the Tokyo Motor Show, which starts in just a couple of weeks.

More details can be found here:

www.newcarnet.co.uk

“The roof system houses a table and two chairs for impromptu picnics and weary guests at cricket matches. In response to the company’s belief that the Japanese appreciate all things British, the cargo box in the rear of the car can be taken out and attached to the side window when open to create a table for serving tea and scones.”

I can just imagine Japanese going out for picnic to watch the cricket and eating their tea and scones!

Yodobashi – Akihabara

I had a quick look in the new Yodobashi Akihabara store and was pretty impressed.

It should now be the biggest electronic store in Tokyo, if not Asia.

However, you can’t help feeling a kind of loss for the area, as it has changed immensley.

All the changes have changed the atmosphere from discount computer part stores for computer geeks to hang out at, to a kind of clean shopping mall kind of experience. It’s not quite that way yet, but that is definitely the direction it is heading.
